Defying Tyranny: The Unbreakable Will of Chen Yinghua
Yinghua Chen is a survivor of one of the repressive campaigns carried out by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) over the past decades. During her time in China, she lived under constant surveillance, was imprisoned three times, separated from her family, and subjected to physical abuse and harsh force-feeding sessions; all for refusing to give up her faith in Falun Gong — the meditative discipline that has been severely persecuted by the CCP since 1999. In this interview, she describes her journey through the Chinese prison system, and accounts of how her family experienced transnational repression by Beijing. Written, produced and edited by Carolina Avendano.
